Never before had she felt so completely and utterly alone. From the window of the mansion she could see the ocean. Its waves crashed and foamed against the side of the cliff as the sun painted the sky in a pallet of pastel pinks and yellows. Another day was passing, along with another sunset that Eva was condemned to watch all alone.

Times are Changing The dining car was nearly packed when Nick walked into it. His eyes scanned the rectangular room for a free table. Finding none, he decided to seat himself at a table occupied by a single man. He eyed Nick, peering over the newspaper he was holding. Nick smiled politely. "Hello, will anybody else be joining you at this table?" he asked. The man laughed.Times are Changing
"Nope, it's just me," he answered. A stewardess walked up to their table and, looking at Nick, said, "Would you like anything to drink, sir?"


Three's a Crowd The elevator slowly ascended, groaning under the weight of the people inside of it. Tyler stood next to a middle-aged man and a teenage girl. He chanced a sideways glance at the man standing next to him, carefully looking him over out of the corner of his eye. He was a little scruffy, his clothes disheveled and worn. His blue eyes were constantly moving from side to side, never remaining in one spot for long. The man's feet tapped impatiently against the tiles on the elevator floor.
